Our plane was late arriving from the previous flight, but they really turned around quick. I was taking a short trip and didn't want to check my bag so I had a carryon. This seat is in the rear of the aircraft and boarded using zone 2. I was told when I handed my boarding pass to the gate agent that I had to check my bag because of it being a full that I had to gate check it. It was a bit irritating because there was actually room in the overhead compartments and I didn't want to have to wait for the bag at baggage claim. The flight attendant said they have a cut off point on bringing carryon bags to expedite the boarding process. Other than that I was really surprised about the amount of legroom I had. I didn't. Feel cramped at all. I was lucky though because the seat next to me ended up being empty and that game me extra room. Even though we left the gate 15 minutes late the flight ended up landing on time! I don't fly very often, but I have always had a geat experience with Delta! I'm glad they are my hometown airline :)

I paid extra to sit in seat 10d - a nice two across on the isle. when I got to the gate agent she swiped my ticket then handed me a little slip of paper and said we gave you a seat with a little more room. when I got on board I discovered the seat was in the middle of the isle walkway. since I was in zone 1 I got to go on first then proceeded to be hit in the face with luggage and stepped on by the incoming passengers. don't ever let them change your seat. and the steward was nasty saying you can report it to customer service and get your money back. I doubt it. once delta has your money you never see it again. it was the worse flight I ever experienced.

Seat was very hard and it was a tight fit. I am not the average size, so it was very uncomfortable. But the same seat on the MD-90 was much better. This plane was fair and looked pretty worn.
Why is it that most flight attendants just seem to be unhappy or miserable in the last 5 years. I rarely see any of them smile or greet passengers. I have been flying on Delta for many years and they use to smile and greet passengers, but lately, its gone by the wayside.
Delta, you may need to retrain some of them on getting better attitudes. A Smile goes a long way and it sure would help to see or at least think they enjoy their jobs.

Even though it is an old aircraft the interior is not. Very comfortable with ample kneeroom, seat width and elbow room. However, it is difficult for window seat passenger to get out during flight. Lack of seatback entertainment; must use own smart phone, tablet, or laptop. I used iPhone but is was not very efficient. Will not work on Kindle. Luckily, I had downloaded videos to my Kindle. It was a snack-only flight, which were all carbs. Even though it is not a meal flight, I think a more substantial snack should be offered, such as a sandwich or cheese/fruit tray.

While these airplanes are aging, Delta has done a very nice job keeping the interiors new looking as well as comfortable. First class on this airplane is all leather (as with all of Delta), and the leg room is good. Even though this is a bulkhead, the leg room isn't much more than the normal seats, but there is no one reclining into you. The recline is good and you have a very good view out the window also. However, because you are right next to the lavatory, sleeping is not easy with the associated light and odor. However, a very comfortable airplane non the less.

This seat was very nice I wish we wold have known about paying extra for these seats when we booked the flight.
Our return trip wasn't so nice because they wouldn't assign our seats when we checked in they only confirmed our seats. It turned out this flight was over sold by 15 people and a lot of people just got seats where ever and not with the person they were flying with after a 4hr layover and the people at the service desk not being so friendly we were just glad to get out of
Atlanta.

I FLY ONCE A YEAR WITH DELTA. WE WERE THREE HOURS EARLY, YET DELTA ASSIGNED US THE WORST SEATS IN THE HISTORY OF AVIATION. I HAVE SAT IN THE LAST ROW BEFORE, BUT NEVER WITHOUT A WINDOW OF ANY KIND, EVEN THE SEATS IN FRONT OF US HAD A JET ENGINE TO LOOK AT, WE HAD NOTHING. BEWARE, BEWARE ... NEVER ACCEPT SEATS 38A,B,C,D,E. THOSE SEATS SHOULD NEVER BE ASSINGED TO A PAYING CUSTOMER. THANKS DELTA

I fly 26 times a year worth Delta. The flight crew have almost always been friendly. Of course you sometimes get that grumpy person but so is the way of everything in life. The MD-88 is not nearly the worst plane I've been on. Try a CRJ-700 or below. If you don't want a random seat than choose your seat online. Don't travel on full flights if you want to sit together.

Everything about this flight was great. Leg Room was great, take off, cruise, and landing were all smooth. Since the engines are mounted on the rear of the aircraft, flight was very quiet.
