Seat 33C
From Sydney - Kingsford Smith (SYD)
To San Francisco, CA - San Francisco International (SFO)
Flew the Dreamliner to/from SYD, 1st from LAX and then back from SYD to SFO. Sat in economy class and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the flight was - so much so that the Dreamliner is now my favorite flight for long haul travel. I'm quite tall (6'3") but the legroom was good and my knees didn't bang up against the seat as they do on some other UA planes. Seats don't recline much (3") but the benefit is even when the person in front of you reclines, they aren't in your face and you can watch TV or eat or get up and still be comfortable. Even though we flew the same aircraft down and back, it felt like row 33 had slightly more legroom than row 36, which we had going to SYD. I am a believer in the benefits of the Dreamliner as I arrived in SYD feeling refreshed and completely fine, and I travel to Australia quite frequently. Food was better going out of LAX than SYD, surprisingly. Entertainment had good choice but a strange mix of old movies and new, and TV - other airlines do a much better job with providing content. There were power outlets beneath the seat but didn't use them as there was a USB port on the TV screen, which was quite large. Overall this was a good an economy experience as I have had on a long-haul international flight and wouldn't hesitate to fly this aircraft again.

Seat 24C
From Houston-George Bush Intercontinental (IAH)
To Tampa-Tampa International (TPA)
I am appalled that in addition to the $60 baggage fee, your airline had the nerve to gouge passengers for snacks.

Get smart and start charging your passengers who hold everyone else up by bringing baggage on-board. Perhaps if you engage in this practice you'll have enough revenue in order not to charge for checked baggage and snacks.

Not one passenger in the area of my seat purchased a snack....wake up and start respecting your passengers.

Seat 1A
From Washington, DC-Washington Dulles International(IAD)
To Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas-Cyril E King Airport(STT)
Purchased first class seat. I am posting photos so that everyone can see what United is selling as United does not include this information on their website. In fact they state the seats in first class are "Lie flat". No, they actually recline a few degrees, about the same amount as their economy plus seats. They are comfortable seats, adequately wide for the 3 1/2 to 4 hour flight to the caribbean. United should include photos on their website so that their customers know what it is they are selling. Service from the stewards and stewardesses are polite and professional but lack any smiles at all. Not even a "Thank you for flying United" when you depart the plane. We are all just live cargo now. Even in first class.

The entertainment system is inaudible. No captioning available. If you are flying in economy, do not purchase. It is a waste. Also, the flight map is only available via the entreatment system, thus you have to pay to follow the flight. This is not acceptable.

Seat 1A
From Los Angeles-Los Angeles International (LAX)
To Newark-Newark Liberty International (EWR)
We had seats 1A and 1B, which were extremely comfortable. The seats had excellent recline to bed position, and great leg rest. The entertainment selection was very good and current, and while close to the galley, the excellent quality headphones blocked out cabin noise. Food and drink were very good, and the flight attendants attentive.

Seat 33K
From Sao Paulo-Aeroporto Internacional Guarulhos (GRU)
To Chicago-Chicago Ohare Intl (ORD)
Although it's an exit row, the seat by the window doesn't have much extra legroom as the door protrudes into the cabin to hold the evacuation slide. You can leave and access your seat without bothering your flight neighbors.

The sit's width is slightly as the table and the TV set is in the armrests. The good thing is that it's harder for your neighbor to "spill" on your space ;-)

The same is applicable to Seat 33A.

Seat 4E
From Los Angeles-Los Angeles International(LAX)
To Shanghai-Pu Dong (PVG)
I'm usually wary of getting a bulkhead seat right next to the galley because of noise issues. However, this was a no-brainer since the footwells in rows 1 and 4 have more room in the footwell. If you're under 6', please do the tall people a favour and do NOT choose these rows. We really need the extra foot space. And happily, the cabin crew working the galley kept the noise to the absolute minimum. UA has been impressing me with its international business service lately. Well done.

Seat 2D
From Osaka-Kansai International (KIX)
To San Francisco, CA-San Francisco International (SFO)
The aircraft is wonderful! Big windows and, as noted below, a very quiet ride, especially up front. I didn't have an issue with the windows not blacking out completely as I always sleep with the eyemask on an aircraft. The seats are the same as the former Continental business first product. The service was very attentive and professional - a pleasant surprise. My only gripe was that, being 6'4", (193cm), the foot well is cramped.

A little noisy because the jet engine is four feet away from your head, but I found this seat to be as comfortable as they get now days.

Seat 1E
From Seattle, WA-Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA)
To Newark-Newark Liberty International (EWR)
This seat is an example of the standard and typical first class seating utilized by United Airlines both domestically within the US and on short-haul international routes. Relatively-speaking, it is an okay seat given the size and type of aircraft (Airbus A320) and on par with that proffered by other airlines utilizing aircraft of similar size domestically. Of course, it is not the same as the lie-flat seat found in business and first class on several of the larger aircraft used domestically by United (e.g. B-757, B-767, B-777 & B-787). Compared to the other seats in first class on this particular aircraft, this seat has the advantage of more personal space because there is only the bulkhead in front of you and thus no seatback that can recline backward into your space (and face). Moreover, as this seat is in the first row, it means you will be among the first passengers to receive inflight services (from the flight attendants) and you'll be among the first few persons off the plane (which can be advantageous if the flight is running late or you have a tight connection). The negatives are: (1) you have no under-seat storage space (because there is no seat in front of you); (2) there is no AV entertainment system; and, (3) you are close to the galley and lavatory. The noise from the galley may be disruptive when in use and you will hear the flushing of the toilet. Additionally, leg room may feel a bit restrictive - particularly if you're a tall person - because there is no under-seat space in front of you in which to place your feet. Also, light emanating from the galley/lavatory area may prove problematic for sleeping during long night flights (when the cabin has otherwise been darkened). Another potential issue of annoyance is the likelihood of overhearing the conversations and banter of the flight attendants who are hanging out in the galley area during lulls in inflight services. I don't begrudge them the right to socialize but, I as a passenger should not be subjected to hearing personal and private discussions and opinions about diverse topics of no interest or relevancy to me. If you do not have any way to "mute" or "tune out" the unwanted conversation then it may prove annoying to overhear. The problem is that you don't have much choice in the matter because you cannot simply move your seat and there is no AV entertainment system that you can utilize to “drown out” the noise. Obviously, if you have your own entertainment device - use it! This is about all I can say about the seat itself aside from observing that the finish/cover is leather and the cushion is sufficiently supportive and comfortable. Realistically, to some degree, one's perception of how good a seat is will be determined by the level of service and treatment provided by the flight attendants. If you have good service and are treated well - you'll feel more positive about the seat. Conversely, if service is shoddy and you're treated poorly - then you'll feel more negative about things. On my flight service was relatively good. The only other observation I'll mention is that the overhead storage space for our carry-on baggage had been taken over by the luggage of the flight attendants which forced us to find storage space elsewhere nearby (and thus take away storage space intended for other passengers).
