General presentation

JetBlue has placed firm orders for 100 E190s and expects to take delivery of approximately 18 of the new aircraft each year between 2006 and 2011. This plane has a total seating capacity of 100 passengers in a single class layout and is used mainly on short and medium-haul flights having a range of 2100 miles.
The Embraer 190 is the newest model in Embraer’s E-Jet family. With its unique “double bubble” fuselage design and state-of-the-art technology, the E190 offers customers one of the most spacious and relaxing cabins in its class. All seats are equipped with an entertainment system, featuring 36 channels of DIRECTV® plus more than 100 channels of XM Satellite Radio for free and, on flights longer than two hours, a selection of movies on FOX InFlight Premium Entertainment.
JetBlue Airways took to the air on February 11, 2000 with the inauguration of service between New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Fort Lauderdale, FL. The airline currently serves 32 cities around the US and the Caribbean with a fleet of Embraer 190 and Airbus A320 aircraft. Jet Blue was the first airline to offer 24-channels of live satellite television free at every seat and to broadcast the Olympic Games live, the first U.S. airline to install bullet-proof cockpit doors across its fleet and the first airline to install security cameras in passenger cabin for customer and crew safety.

I take this R/T flight about every 6 weeks. Usually on the 190 but sometimes on the Airbus. The 190 is way more comfortable with a 2 - 2 configuration. Comfortable seats and the extra room upgrade has plenty of leg room for me at 6'1". The F/A's are usually pleasant and helpfull. Variety of snacks and beverages. If you're getting a bloody Mary remember to ask for the lime crystals. The FlyFi is free and works well.

The only negative is that the planes are getting a little tired looking. In need of some updating and refurbishment. But considering the prices and the high level of service, you can't beat JetBlue. Add a reliable App and the excellent reservations staff and you get a superior product.

Hi. I flew on 8/1/13 (flights #286, then #85 home. I believe those #s are correct) from ROC to JFK as part of my Fearful Flyers course. I just wanted to let you know that the staff I encountered were extremely friendly and courteous. From the flight attendants to the pilot I spoke to, they were very respectful of my fear and treated me with respect.
I really appreciate the experience flying with JetBlue, and I will consider that my first choice when I have to fly again the future.

First of all, Jet Blue got me to/from my destination and there were no hiccups on that front. The leg room is quite good, but the seat cushion was hard and uncomfortable. It was only a 3 hour flight +/-, but if it had been longer, the trip would have been unbearable. Granted, I have back problems, so consider that. Otherwise, it was a good flight experience.

These planes are very comfortable and have a great amount leg room the most in any economy airline. The service was great I loved it the flight attendant didn't let me record the takeoff so that means they actually do care about our safety and they follow FAA regulations. Great job jetblue Keep up the good work.

This is an extra legroom seat that really has extra legroom. The oversized (comared to a B737 or A320) window is set perfect for viewing forward as it s slightly ahead of the end of the armrest. This also gives a companion in seat B an opportunity to look out wino it you having to move.

The flight was very short but everything was fine . Jet Blie reservations and booking is very good. The aircraft was very clean and the attendants were well dressed , courteous and pleasant. For a smaller jet, the seating was pretty comfortable. I am 6'2" 300 lbs and I was comfortable. Overall good experience!

Before the flight was terrible, 5 hour delay. But the flight wasn't that bad! Really friendly crew, and a late night snack because the flight was technically overnight. If you consider arriving at 1am overnight. Overall, I give this flight a B+. JetBlue should just continue what they are doing! :)

I took this e-190 on a longer flight, around 2 hours. The seats were really good for an E JET, but the IFE system was horrible, one of the worst ones I have ever seen. The Wifi int he plane was awesome too!

4A is/was advertised AND confirmed by a live agent to be a Comfort+ seat. It was not. The space felt very cramped and the seat was outdated and needing replacement about 5 years ago. The surface peeling on the seats was embarrassing.
