Wow
I'm a little skeptical that you call this plane a clunker. One of the best planes ever built. Virtually everything was right when they rolled out the first 747-100 to this one. Its not the Dreamliner, but hey it was the cutting edge of Aviation History. still dominates the sky as a Cargo Option Combi. The only concern now is operation cost. That's why Boeing released the 787 series. for pilots this planes handles like a dream and responds like a small turboprop. Only difference is the flare begins earlier due to the height. It can fly around the world making two stops. With new Fuel additives this aircraft could see another 10+ yrs easy. Airlines still like it as 100+ orders are coming in from major carriers for the 747-8 series.

We paid about $75 each to upgrade to Premium Economy. It was worth it. We had just enough room to feel like humans -- not cattle.

This seat was nice and comfortable, but you can really tell the UA's seats are aging. While the padding was quite sufficient and the pitch and witdth good, the seat was almost delapidated and was not electronic; it's a very good thing that UA is redoing these seats. Otherwise, the flight was quite comfortable and the seat good, but after 16 hours, anything gets uncomfortable.

This flight to Chicago was my first flight with United and in their suite product. I have to say its not really up there with BA but it had a certain something that made it feel special. Friendly and somewhat ageing staff made the flight really pleasant. I'm not a fan of 777 layouts, especially for First Class. The 747-400 or new A380 make these suites feel much more exclusive

United Airlines flight attendants gave us a delicous dinner. They gaved us a delicous silver cod in soy mirin. It was a remarkable dinner. United Airlines have exelent chefs.

The seats are really good. They almost recline completely, and the upper deck was really quiet and private, the place was perfect to rest in there. The seats are really spaced between each other so there was more even privacy.

United airlines have a good food service althought they could do better. The food was really good, they gave us a salad and a filet mignon. It was delicous a real gourmet restourant dinner. The only thing I can think they could improve is the presentation, it was good but I have seen many other that are better.

United airlines have very good and comfortable looking first class seats. The air attendants were really nice and the flight was really calm. They aren't the best airline I have traveled on but it's an exelent on.

For some reason I have never liked security videos from US airlines as much as I do from other airlines.... but there may be people who like them, so here it is the one corresponding to United Airlines B777's.
