My Experience of flying Etihad (Jul 15th, 2018), started with a serious negative impression, when my seat allocation was done by Etihad automatically, and despite my "Aisle" seat preference, I was allotted a middle seat from BLR to Abu Dhabi, and a window seat from Abu Dhabi to JFK. When I asked for an aisle seat at the time of checkin, I was shamelessly asked to shell out more money, which I declined.
Having said that, the overall experience from Bangalore to Abu Dhabi was FORGETTABLE to say the least, though the flight experience from Abu Dhabi to JFK was nothing to complain about (except the window seat).
I would specifically want to talk about my flight experience from Bangalore to Abu Dhabi. The cabin crew I met was MOST RUDE that I ever met. They served the mandatory food yes, besides they were just not ready to ask for any drink, leave aside if I needed something beyond that. When I got tired of waiting, I asked them to get me a black coffee, and the crew never returned. After waiting for 40 mins, I asked them again and voilla, the reply was that we were descending, hence not possible. WOWWWWWWWWW. I got agitated enough to tell the lady that if she were to get me my drink at the correct time, it would have been much before we started descending.
The crew made no bones to hide their irritation towards all passengers overall, as I was not the odd person out.
Would not fly ETIHAD if I have any other choice to fly.

After reading some negative comments about Etihad Airways, both staff, service and food, it was with some trepidation , that we booked with Etihad.
The lounge at Heathrow has now gone under a concession, but it was excellent, to my mind better than BA.
Boarding was on time and the seat on the upper deck was fine, amenities were OK, not first class.
Pre flight drinks and snacks were fine ,and a menu was produced for lunch, with a good selection, and a choice of times to eat.
Food and wine were first class, and service excellent, so different from some reviews, but I find if you treat cabin staff well they will treat you well !
Flight was perfect and we arrived on time ,I would recommend this airline.

DOH-ABU-SYD- A320/A380. Doha gate staff horrible; flight Attendants to ABU; great.
ABU-SYD-A380- I switched seats once on board from 20E, to 19H, for a window. ( Rear-facing seat ) Three FA's knew I had changed seats, yet I was completely ignored during the meal service, for 30 minutes. I had to walk to the galley and ask for something, and the response was defensive. ( If this is Business Class treatment; what is First like?) The seat/bed/entertainment was excellent on the nearly 13 3/4-hour flight. When I finally received some, the food was well-presented and delicious. Thankfully, it was an award ticket; I would not pay cash, for that poor treatment.

Booked Etihad Business class to try Etihad for a change - and to specifically to try their new Dreamliner and A380. They changed the plane to older planes on both of our flights (first one was to Dusseldorf via Abu Dhabi from Colombo) - food service lacking on both legs of London to Bangkok. London lounge great, Abu Dhabi lounge way too busy very late at night and early in the morning, couldn't get a shower before boarding time, despite very helpful attendent trying 3 different areas. Very dissapointing experience all round. Will use other airlines in future (so, it seems they don't care about Business customers either!)

I sat in Economy. Plane was new. Entertainment had plenty of options and screen was very responsive. Seat was comfortable and spacious - I prefer to keep my luggage in the seat in front (as I'm short usually can't reach the overhead storage!) - normally this means I have to rest my feet on my bags, but this time I had plenty of space! The headrest was comfortable, much better than most airlines. My only complaint would be the service, which was hit and miss on this long-haul flight - some stewards were very attentive and polite, others a little too snappy and unapologetic.

Boarding was great. Located in seat 61F with my wife in 61G we really enjoyed the legroom available. This I believe is much longer than BA and even Emirates. Overhead compartment was sufficient enough for our 2 hand luggage but bear in mind that the overhead compartment for Swarts in row 62 is for the crew so you will find customers in row 62 will put their luggage in 61 luggage compartment. Double screen for inflight entertainment and comfortable seats, take off and landing was lovely on this carrier in comparison to others and night flight is the best.

A380 very disappointed. Always wanted to travel on one with Etihad. Take off and landing was amazing bit that was all.
Flight crew on the way out were verging on rude, condescending and very aloof. Food was pretty awful, hot drinks were luke warm and pretty unpalatable. The toilets were disgusting, dirty wet toilet paper all by washbasin and on the floor. Told more than one cabin crew about it and was virtually ignored.
Disappointing experience overall. Probably won't use Etihad again.

Not sure of exact seat no. but was aisle seat (of x4). Seat felt cramped, seat squab only came half way along my thigh and I'm short! Overall the experience (my first) with Etihad was dreadful. Crew unprofessional, even go as far as dysfunctional.Food poor & uninspiring, service on board and on ground not good. Follow up communication from customer service (to date, 2 months after flight) non existent

Le meilleur vol de notre vie. Alors que nous partons aux 4 coins du monde depuis des années. Le personnel était souriant et très professionnel contrairement aux avis lus. Les toilettes sont nettoyés en cours de vol. Les boissons de très bonne qualité. Le lounge avant le départ à Paris : génial. Le fast track pour les formalités de douane à l'arrivée : impeccable ! Nous nous réjouissons pour le retour.

22A is a forward facing window seat in Business. Privacy is lacking as there is no extendable divider for this seat (and all A seats). All A/C & H/K seats in Business have only 1 side-wall storage compartment that can be opened, even though there are 3 compartments per seat. My seat in particular has shown some wearing and could use some fresh up. The seat cusion could be better.
