Air Canada seat reviews

Air Canada's 330s are fitted with AVOD in Executive First class. The selection is nowhere as detailed as Emirates's ICE programming of that of SQ, but it is still decent enough (about 20-30 choices) to while away 9 hours. In any event, it seems to be much better than what US based carriers are offering in their premium class cabins these days.

Not a good sign when you approach the gate desk and they are paging you: a late connection from Edmonton. But a fortuitous incident in the end, as I traded 1A, which I was not keen on for 8G. No need to climb over anyone to get out of your seat or to be climbed over should your seatmate wish to visit the head. There seems to be just a bit less pitch in these seats than in the main cabin. There was the inevitable screaming baby at the front of the economy class cabin, so I do recommend the main cabin overall as it is generally quieter.

Seats exceed the levels of comfort!! They are not really comfortable,but they have a great entertainment system. Service onboard Air Canada is in English as well as in French and its service is awsome.

Seats are comfortable in ancceptable way for a flight of 5-7 hours but not more. Personal entertainment system is not provided to coach passengers. They are well-mantained and have an acceptable amount of space between them.

If you've never flown between Vancouver and Victoria, BC, it's worth the outrageous airfare just to skim the treetops and wave at the ferries chugging below you on what has to be one of the most scenic flights in the world. Twenty minutes of bliss. You get a candy from the flight attendant and then it's time to land.

Air Canada used to run two flights a day from YVR with 767 service. Unfortunately, the one carrying on to SYD with the more spacious seats was booked solid. So I ended up on the older -200 model configured for domestic service. Nothing wrong with the seat per se, but 5 hours with only 38" pitch did seem a bit excessive. Just as glad I wasn't in economy. AC has replaced its SYD service with a direct flight on its new 777 -- am looking forward to trying out their new J class pods one day soon.
