FrAre children traveling alone accepted on Blue Panorama flights?
Children who have reached 14 years of age may travel alone on Blue Panorama flights. Younger children traveling alone may be accepted if they meet the age restrictions for the Unaccompanied Minors service:
- Children 5 years old and younger cannot travel alone but only accompanied by parents and/or relatives who have a legal authorization. The Unaccompanied Minors service is not available for them.
- Children between 6 and 13 years old (included) can travel unaccompanied only by using the Unaccompanied Minors service.
Unaccompanied Minors Procedure
Blue Panorama will accept a maximum of two Unaccompanied Minors per flight. Unaccompanied Minors’ bookings can be made only by contacting Blue Panorama Contact Center at least 72 hours before departure. The companion’s ID and contact shall be requested at the departure airport, as well as the ID and contact of the person in charge at destination.
The companion at departure must stay at the airport up to 30 minutes after the effective departure of the flight, and the companion must ensure that the minor arrives at the airport with all the necessary ID documents. If the documents shown by the passenger are not valid, Blue Panorama will refuse boarding with the consequent loss of what was previously paid to purchase the ticket.
Fees for Unaccompanied Minors
Children passengers for whom the Unaccompanied Minor procedure is requested are not entitled to any fare reduction and will pay the same rate as the one reserved for adult passengers. Unaccompanied Minors passengers will be allowed on board on Blue Panorama aircrafts upon payment of the ticket plus a surcharge as follows:
- 50 EUR per flight per unaccompanied minor – for flights marketed under the “blu-express” low-cost brand, domestic and European flights.
- 150 EUR per flight per unaccompanied minor – for international long-haul Blue Panorama flights, the Caribbean and Africa, and all intercontinental flights.
