What are the check-in deadlines for AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines flights?
At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, check-in for Azerbaijan Airlines flights begins 24 hours prior to departure. At Milan Malpensa, John F. Kennedy International, Tbilisi International, Tehran Imam Khomeini International, Tel-Aviv Ben Gurion and Dubai International airports, check-in opens 3 hours before the flight. At the other airports, check-in opens 2 hours before departure.
The check-in deadline for AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines flights is 60 minutes before flight departure.
At check-in, you will be informed of the boarding deadline. You should, however, be present at the boarding gate 20 minutes before your flight to avoid missing your flight.
Online Check-in
Online Check-in is available from 24 hours up to 60 minutes prior to the flight departure. Depending on the services available at the departure airport, this service still may not be used for some AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines flights. After completing the Online Check-in process, an E-Boarding Pass is sent to your e-mail and/or mobile phone. At the airport, you must go to the check-in counter for document examination, baggage check-in or printing out boarding passes.
Mobile Check-in
Mobile Check-in is available only for non-stop domestic flights from 48 hours up to 60 minutes before departure. Only one boarding pass per mobile phone is issued as boarding takes place one passenger at a time. Mobile Check-in is available only for single passenger bookings (one passenger per reservation). Mobile Check-in is not available for passengers traveling with infants on lap.
At the end of Mobile Check-in, you will be prompted to enter either your mobile phone number and/or your email address. On your mobile phone, you will receive an SMS with a link that, once activated, will lead to a website that will display the boarding pass. In your email account, you will receive an email with your mobile barcode.
