History of Nova Airways

  • In 2000, Nova Airways was established as a private airline based at Khartoum International Airport, Sudan. The company group also includes Nova catering services, Nova Handling services, Helog Sudan, and Aerotechnik.
  • Nova Airways operates domestic passenger flights, as well as international flights to destinations in Africa, with plans to add several Middle East destinations to its network.
  • In December 2013, Nova Airways launched direct flights to Asmara, ahead of larger airlines like Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines, who’ve announced to make similar moves in the coming months.
  • As of November 2018, Nova Airways fleet operates 2 Bombardier CRJ 200 and 1 Boeing 737 500 aircraft and offers scheduled flights from Khartoum to Juba, El Fasher, Nyala, and Port Sudan.
  • Nova Airways is on the list of airlines banned within the EU.
