Can I reserve a seat for my baby when traveling with Air Caraibes?

For safety reasons, children aged under one week are not accepted on Air Caraibes flights. Children from 7 days up to 2 years on the date of travel may travel as infants on the lap of an adult passenger.

Air Caraibes does not allow you to book an extra seat for an infant.

Does Air Caraibes offer discounts for infants and children?

Air Caraibes offers the following infant fares:

  • Regional flights – €10.
  • Transatlantic flights:
    • Soleil (Economy Class) – 10% of the adult fare.
    • Caraibes & Madras (Premium Economy & Business Class) – 20% of the adult fare.

If the second birthday is reached during the trip, the infant fare applies on the outbound flight, and the child fare (from 2 to 12 years old) applies on the return flight.

For children aged 2 to 11 years, Air Caraibes offers the following child fares:

  • Regional flights – only Soleil (Economy Class) available:
    • Simply Basic & Smart fares – 95% of the adult fare.
    • Simply Flex fare – 62% of the adult fare.
  • Transatlantic flights:
    • Soleil (Economy Class):
      • 67% of the adult fare – to/from Pointe-a-Pitre, Fort-de-France, Sint Maarten – Juliana, and Cayenne.
      • 75% of the adult fare – to/from Port-au-Prince, Santo Domingo, Santiago de Cuba, Havana, and Punta Cana.
    • Caraibes & Madras (Premium Economy & Business Class) – 75% of the adult fare.

Traveling with Infants

A maximum of 20 infants per flight is accepted on Airbus aircraft and a maximum of 8 infants per flight on ATR aircraft. You must hold your baby on your lap, and one adult may hold only one infant on lap. An adult traveling with a baby must be assigned a seat, and seat reservation is free of charge.

On all Airbus aircraft, bassinets are available for babies under 6 months old with a maximum weight of 11 kg and maximum height of 70 cm:

An additional allowance is granted to passengers traveling with an infant on Air Caraibes flights:

  • 10 kg checked baggage.
  • One folding stroller or car seat.
