There are 36 A320-200s in the Lufthansa fleet which are used for short and medium haul flights. This aircraft cruises at a speed of 840km/h, at a maximum altitude of 11900m and has a range of 3200km. It has a maximum seating capacity of 140-156 passengers in a two class layout. The division between classes is flexible according to demand.

On European flights, Business class seats are 5cm wider than Economy class seats and the back rests in both classes have been made narrower to give a longer seat pitch. The middle seat in Business class will always be left free, giving more room and offering more space for storage thanks to a console. Rows 1-6 are designated as Business Class seats.
