The Virgin Airbus A340 comes in two configurations in both series and has a seating capacity of 255-311 passengers in three different classes. Virgin Atlantic have a fleet of more than 26 Boeing 747 and Airbus A340 aircraft. They also have six Airbus A380s on order, due to be delivered from 2008. These double-decker aircraft will be the world's largest aircraft.
In Economy class, every seat has its own seatback TV with a choice of channels to keep everyone entertained throughout the flight. On many flights each seat also comes with its own video games console with up to 35 games. Video on demand is being introduced across the fleet.
moreThe Upper Class Suite, with the biggest fully flat bed in business class, is already available on all flights to New York (JFK & Newark), Boston, Washington, Orlando (Gatwick and Manchester), the Caribbean, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Johannesburg, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sydney. It is also available on selected flights to Miami, Los Angeles, Mumbai and Shanghai, and the Suite continues to be introduced across the rest of the fleet and network. The lie-flat bed is the biggest in the business and has a width of 33” across the shoulder area. There is video on demand on an individual 10.4” screen and a lap-top power port at every seat.

Never flew Virgin before this flight but was glad that I did. Lots of movie selection and games too! I thought I was going to catch a nap while on the transatlantic from EWR-LHR. That never happened!
