DescriptionThe B717 is used for Domestic flights with the Signature Service. This plane has a normal cruising speed of 540mph and an effective range of 1430 nautical miles. It has a total seating capacity of 88 passengers in a single class layout. Midwest Airlines Signature Service is featured on all routes other than flights between Milwaukee and Denver, Ft. Myers, Ft. Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Phoenix and Tampa. Seating on Signature flights is altered from the standard 2-by-3 coach seating to a roomier two-by-two configuration, with wide leather seats for additional passenger comfort. The 717 aircraft also offer adjustable footrests and head cushions. moreSignature flights provide passengers with extra legroom for added comfort. Pitch averages are 33-34", depending on aircraft type - significantly more than the 30" most airlines average in coach class. The interior width of seat cushions on Midwest aircraft is 21" on Signature flights, compared with coach seating that is 17-18" wide on most airlines. Customers on select long-haul flights can enjoy using a new handheld entertainment unit called the digEplayer. DigEplayer entertainment selections are pre-programmed in the unit. You can choose from at least 10 movies, 10 categories of music, television shows, cartoons and more. DigEplayers with earphones are available for rent onboard from flight attendants for $10. An additional pair of earphones and a splitter can be purchased for $2. DigEplayers are available on flights from Milwaukee to Ft. Myers, Ft. Lauderdale, Phoenix, L.A and Las Vegas and on flights from Kansas to L.A, San Francisco, N.Y, Boston, San Diego and Ft. Lauderdale.
