General presentation

There are 143 Boeing 757s in the American Airlines fleet of 683 planes. These planes cruise at a speed of 530mph at an altitude of 35000ft and have a total seating capacity of between 180 and 188 passengers in a two class configuration. This plane flies medium and long range domestic flights plus Hawaii and Ireland. First class and Economy in this configuration can hold 22 seats and 166 seats respectively.
There are 12 channels of audio entertainment on this plane. In Economy, if you don’t have your own, you would have to buy headphones for 2$ a piece. There are LCD monitors on the ceiling as well as large projectors throughout the cabin. In Economy, if you don’t have your own, you would have to buy headphones for 2$ a piece. Check the seat map for exact LCD monitor locations.
Your seat may be equipped with a DC power outlet. AA uses a cigarette lighter style outlets delivering 15 volts of current. Usually, a power outlet is available on every seat in First and Business class, as well as selected rows in the Economy cabin. Outlets are located on your seat console, or mounted to the seat frame below your seat cushion. Look for the “lightning bolt” symbol on the overhead bin rows containing powerport-equipped seats.

DC auto/air power adapter cords can be purchased at most electronics stores or through power cord manufacturers. Keep in mind that power adapter cords are device (laptop or DVD) and model specific. Splitter or Y adaptor cords may not be used. Only one device is allowed per outlet. Use of powerports is permitted only when the aircraft is above 10,000 feet in altitude and the flight attendant announces that personal electronic devices are allowed.
Powerports are available on most Boeing 757 aircraft. Powerports are not available on aircraft with flight number ranges 2800-2999.

Absolutely awful experience. Cramped dirty and quitw frankly, an aircraft that should not be used for long haul flights...rvery rude member of flight crew (girl needs to learn manners and how to smile)...journey delayed due to staffing issues....told that they had run out of beer and certain spirits halfway through the flight only to be served one an hour later???....in flight movie (1) was a kids movie but there were only 3 kids on board 2 of which were on their ipads and the other was a baby!!! also showed just two tv shows on a loop for the 7HR flight!!! landed at the oldest filthiest smelliest terminals (8 at jfk) that I have ever been to where none of the ground crew had a clue what they were doing. All in all....an awful experience and service from American Airlines. I booked this trip via British Airways (who claim to be the ''flagship carrier''in the UK) but they sub contracted it out to what felt like americas biggest budget airline. NOT IMPRESSED at all but when I called to complain...I was offered and upgrade to first class...but only if I paid an additional £1880......thanks BA for not giving a damn about your customers. I will be sure to give a certain Mr Bransons airline a call for my next long haul flight as the reason his company is so successful is because they actually care about their customers.

To Philipsburg, St. Maarten-Princess Juliana International (SXM)
The plane was clean. The flight attendants were very helpful with assisting passengers with stowing baggage. The take off was great. The seats are a little uncomfortable width-wise. I think a few more inches would help and the passenger a head of me decided to recline her chair and that left her practically in my lap. it made i hard to put my tray down when the beverage cart came around. I like the variety of snacks AA offers. I found the cheese plate to be yummy and kept me satisfied until landing. When the plane started its decent, our pilot in error said we would be landing in St. Thomas momentarily...uhhh, my ticket said St. Maarten. He never corrected himself and we all had a good laugh about it.

Seat 4E
From Manchester - Manchester (MAN)
To Chicago - Chicago Ohare Intl (ORD)
Worst Businesses Class Seats we have ever sat in, small cramped leg area ,Hard narrow seats could not sleep , Food terrible, plane sounded like it was falling apart .
AA have reduced the quality of aircraft from Man UK from a 787 downgraded to a 767 and now even lower to a 757 reduced quality all round. the only saving grace is that the Crew were SUPER. AA get your act together, and improve your Aircraft and Service from Manchester

In this airplane when it's lunch time they just serve each on a soda, like it is usual in short flights. If you wanted to drink or eat something ealse you will have to pay for it. So before going in the aircraft make sure you have some extra cash for lunch time.

Flight was OK. Not the best experience to be honest. No recline! But flight was OK, no turbulence or anything like that. It was in 2007 so I hardly remember it but I remember all of my seat numbers and fun flight experiences.

well...the seats were ok and the service wasn't bad. They serve you a lunch/dinner in international flights and the entertainament is fair.
