How can I check in for a Condor flight?
When traveling on a Condor flight, various options are available for passengers to check in before or after arriving at the airport:
- Online Check-in.
- Machine Check-in.
- Counter Check-in.
- Late Night Check-in.
What deadlines do I have to comply with when flying with Condor?
Passengers have to meet two important deadlines at the airport: the check-in time and the boarding time, otherwise they might even lose the right to carriage. Condor recommends that, at the start of the holiday season, or if they have special check-in needs, passengers to be in the airport with an extra half hour for picking up travel documents.
For short-haul and medium-haul flights (up to 6 hours flight duration), the check-in deadline is 45 minutes prior departure.
For long-haul flights (flight duration of 6 hours or more), the check-in closing time is 60 minutes prior departure. As an exception, for flights from Anchorage and Porlamar, the check-in deadline is 90 minutes before departure.
At least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time, you should present yourself at the boarding gate.
Passengers can easily print out their boarding pass with their computer with Online Check-in, which is available for Condor flights with Condor aircraft and Condor flight number “DE” on selected routes. In some airports, passengers can also simply load the mobile boarding pass onto an Internet-enabled mobile device (smartphone, tablet).
Online Check-in and Mobile Boarding Pass are available at most departure airports, with the following exceptions:
- Mobile Boarding Pass is not available at US airports.
- Online Check-in is available, but the boarding pass is issued only at the check-in counter at the following departure airports: Antalya (AYT), Dalaman (DLM), Puerto Plata (POP), Punta Cana (PUJ), San Jose (SJO), Santo Domingo (SDQ).
The advantages of Online Check-in are:
- Check-in can be done at home or in the office, and the boarding pass can be printed out straight away.
- It is available from 1 day and up to 2 hours before departure, for all booking classes and for groups of up to 9 passengers.
- It offers the option of reserving your seat. You can select your seat free of charge from 12 hours prior to departure.
- Passengers using this service and traveling only with carry-on baggage can go directly to the gate.
Online Check-in is not available in the following circumstances or for the following passengers:
- Passengers traveling with animals.
- Unaccompanied Minors.
- Passengers with special baggage, for which a fee must be paid at the airport.
- For group reservations of 10 and more passengers.
Passengers can use the check-in machines at selected airports, up to an hour before departure. This service is available in German and English. If passengers are traveling with baggage, they can still use the check-in machines and then drop their baggage at the Baggage Drop-off counter. Machine Check-in is completed in just three steps:
- Sign yourself in at the machine.
- Select a seat on the seating chart.
- Print the boarding pass.
Machine Check-in Service is available when departing from the following airports: Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Vancouver, and Cancun.
All the check-in counters outside Germany are open at least two hours before the scheduled departure, and three hours before departure for flights from the United States and Canada. Passengers can check in with only an ID card and a booking confirmation, tickets are no longer required for flights booked with Condor. To check in with NOTIX, passengers will need the reservation confirmation and valid photo IDs (personal ID cards or passports) for all the travelers, including children and infants. Passengers can also check in the night before with NOTIX.
Late Night Check-in
Condor, allows passengers to check in the baggage and pick up the boarding pass the night before the flight. A charge of 5 Euro per person will be made for this service, but Late Night Check-in is free of charge for children up to 12 years of age, and for Premium Economy and Comfort Class passengers.
The service is only available for ticketless flights (NOTIX) if a booking confirmation or at least the booking number is presented with the official ID. This service is not available for special flights. This service is only available for groups up to 9 people. For security reasons, passengers traveling in groups of 10 and more persons are required to complete the check-in process in person. Also, animals cannot be checked in until the day of departure.
Every passenger must show an official photo ID (a passport or a personal ID card). Late Night Check-in does not require the presence of passengers listed in the booking as long as the person who wants to check them in presents their travel documents and official photo IDs. Passengers using this service should come to their departure gate at least one hour prior to departure.
