Q: What do I have to do in order to participate in these promotional contests? [ top ]

A: It is very simple. Just register and start adding comments.

Q: Which comments are "valid"? [ top ]

First of all, note that comments can be written for any of the tabs on the Seatmaestro site: SEATS, MEALS and GENERAL.

A "Valid" comment includes the following features:

1. For the SEATS tab:

• 1 picture of the seat you are commenting on * or
• 1 video showing the seat/row/area where it is located.

2. For the MEALS tab:

• 1 picture of the meal you have been served ** or
• 1 video showing the meal.

3. For the GENERAL tab:

• 2 pictures from inside or outside the aircraft *** or
• 1 video showing the inside or outside of the aircraft.

* We recommend 1 full size picture of your seat or 1 picture of the entire row where your seat is located.
** Pictures of breakfast, lunch, dinner or even snacks are welcome.
*** We recommend pictures of the interior or exterior of the aircraft that you think may be useful or interesting for other passengers (toilets, overhead bins, aisles, windows, galleys, bulkheads, emergency exits, wings, pilot cabins, engines or propellers, baby bassinet fittings/areas etc).

Please take the following additional information into consideration:

1. Seatmaestro staff will monitor ALL comments posted by participants.
2. Comments should be helpful for our community and must describe the experience of being in the seat you are writing about. For ideas, please click on the "Seat Types" link on the upper-left-hand corner of every seat map or simply click here.
3. Blurred or out of focus pictures will not be regarded as valid.
4. Videos should have a minimum duration of 5 seconds in order to provide a clear idea of what future flyers will encounter. Participants should upload their videos onto www.youtube.com and then, copy the "url" or embed them in the fields provided in the forms.
5. Although, comments that only contain text (i.e. no pictures or videos) are in principle not regarded as "valid" for these promotions, participants may still add them and get credit accordingly, providing that Seatmaestro staff regard them as useful for the community.

Q: Can I add more than one comment on the same aircraft? [ top ]

A: Yes. You can add as many comments as you wish.

Q: Can I add more than one comment on the same aircraft and on the same tab? [ top ]

A: Yes. You can add as many comments as you wish. However, please take the following guidelines into consideration:

-Seats tab: comments should be about different seats. It is also fine to add comments on seats from the same row.
-Meals tab: you can add more than one comment as long as it is about a different meal. For example, you can write one comment about breakfast, another one about lunch, one about dinner and another about snacks.
-General tab: you can add more than one comment as long as it is about a different area of the plane. For example, you can add different comments on the following topics:

1. Toilets.
2. Overhead bins.
3. Exterior look of the aircraft.
4. Interior look of the aircraft.
5. Galleys.
6. Bulkheads.
7. Amenity Kit.
8. In-flight Entertainment.
9. Pets.
10. Baby bassinet fittings/areas.
11. Emergency exits.
12. Wings.
13. Pilot cabin.
14. Jet Engines or propellers.
15. Passengers congregating in a certain area.
16. Etc.

Q: What is a "Useful Vote"? [ top ]

A: "Useful Vote" is obtained when another Seatmaestro user chooses to describe your message as "useful" or "helpful" for Seatmaestro's community.

Q: How long will these promotional contests last? [ top ]

A: These three promotional contests expire in December 2008.

Q: Can I participate in all of the three contests? [ top ]

A: Yes! Once you start adding comments, you automatically participate in all of them and you can win all their prizes.

Q: How do I know the number of "valid" comments I have? [ top ]

A: It's simple! Once you have logged in, go to the "Check your contest status" link located on the upper-left-hand corner of any page and you will see all the information regarding the promotional contests (including the number of valid comments).
You may also click on the "CONTRIBUTIONS" tab and see all the comments you have posted. Please, be aware that in this tab you will find both valid and non-valid comments as well as comments that you posted before the promotions started.

Q: How much, How & When will I get paid? [ top ]

A: Participants will be paid via Paypal. If you don't have an account, click here to create one. Other participants or users will not see your Paypal account. Only Seatmaestro staff will have access to this information.

CONTEST 1:

Participants will be paid $1 for each valid comment posted. You will be entitled to payment once you have accumulated $10 or in other words, when you have placed 10 valid comments. You will receive payment within 5 business days of complying with this requirement. If this promotion expires before you have reached the $10 mark, you will be paid the accumulated cash amount in your account within 5 business days of the promotion expiry date.

CONTEST 2:

If you are among the first 5 participants of promotional contest 1 to reach 30 valid comments, you will receive a payment of $300 within 5 business days of complying with this requirement. If this promotion expires and none of the participants has reached the 30-valid-comment mark then, payments will still be made to the 5 top participants. However, payments will be prorated according to the number of valid comments posted. In other words, if one of the 5 top participants has posted 25 valid comments, he/she will be paid (25*300)/30 = $250.

CONTEST 3:

If you become a "Flyer of the Month", you will receive a payment of $100 within 5 business days of the official announcement. Please, note that in order to receive cash payments, participants need to fully complete all the fields in their profiles (except the "avatar" and the fields under "Contact options")

Q: Can promotional contests be cancelled or modified? [ top ]

A: It is very unlikely that promotional contests will be cancelled. However, Seatmaestro reserves the right to cancel all or one of these promotions (1, 2 and 3) at any point in time. Promotion cancellation notices will be given here, at FAQ and Terms & Conditions, and no emails will be sent to participants. You should review each promotion FAQ and Terms & Conditions from time to time to understand and comply with the terms and conditions that apply.

Cash accumulated in the accounts of participants will be paid 10 working days after cancellation notices are posted.

Seatmaestro also reserves the right to change or modify any of the Terms and Conditions, Policies or Guidelines related to these promotions at any time and at its discretion. Any changes or modifications will be notified here, at FAQ and Terms & Conditions, and no emails will be sent.

Unless otherwise specified, any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting and your continued use of the site and participation in any of the promotions will constitute your acceptance of such changes or modifications. You should review each promotion FAQ and Terms & Conditions from time to time to understand and comply with the terms and conditions that apply. If you do not agree to any change of terms, you should discontinue using this site.

A: Seatmaestro does not offer tax advice of any form. It is your own responsibility to understand and comply with the tax regulations of your country of residence.

A: All postings must be your own words (i.e. no cutting and pasting of copyrighted material).

Representing yourself as another user is strictly prohibited. A civil tone and no advertising or commercial promotion are also requested.

We reserve the right to delete any comment and disqualify any screen name for any reason.

Q: What is a FLASH DOCUMENT? [ top ]

A: A Flash Document is a file with the extension "fla". This kind of document can be created with software called MACROMEDIA FLASH.

Q: What seat maps may I submit? [ top ]

A: You may submit Flash Documents (fla files) of seat maps belonging to airlines that are not present in our website. Seatmaestro will proceed to add that airline and upload the corresponding Flash Document (fla file) into its Database.

You may also submit Flash Documents (fla files) of seat maps that have not been included but belong to airlines that are already present in our website.

Q: Where can I find seat maps that I can use as a reference to convert them into Flash Documents (FLA files)? [ top ]

A: You can usually find them in airline websites. Make sure you look for the "Airplanes" or "Our Fleet" link.

Other good sources of information are Airline timetables that you can easily find at airports. You might have to look very carefully as seat maps are usually in the last pages or hidden somewhere in between.

Q: Where should I submit the Flash Documents (FLA files)? [ top ]

A: Flash Documents (fla files) must be sent to webmaster@seatmeastro.com. Please, make sure you do NOT send us Flash Movies (swf files) but Flash Documents (fla files).

Q: Are there other Flash related issues I should take into consideration? [ top ]

A: Flash Documents (fla files) should be accompanied by the corresponding scanned copy of the original seat map in order for our team to be able to verify their authenticity and accuracy. In order to be valid, Flash Documents should respect the quality, look and colours used for Seatmaestro seat maps. Please, note that the "Seat Types" link is the only feature that need not be included in the Flash documents.

Seatmaestro staff will monitor these comments and evaluate their validity.

Participants may add their name or their company name at the bottom of each Flash Document sent. Once received, accepted by our team and paid for, Flash Documents will be property of Seatmaestro.

Q: Are all Flash Documents of seat maps compensated in the same way? [ top ]

A: No. It depends on what aircraft type you are considering drawing. Some aircraft types require more work than others and therefore they will be compensated with a higher cash sum.

Flash Documents of small aircraft types such as the ATR, Fokker, CRJ, Dash, Embraer, Tupolev, Avro, Bae, Saab, etc., will be paid $15 each.

Flash Documents of medium aircraft types such as the Airbus A300, A310, A320, A330, Boeing 717, 737, 757 and the MD-80 family will be paid $20 each.

Flash Documents of large aircraft types such as the Airbus A340, A350 and A380 and Boeing 747, 767, 777 and 787 will be paid $25 each.

Q: How & When will I get paid? [ top ]

A: You will be paid via Paypal. If you don't have an account, click here to create one. Other participants will not see your Paypal account. Only Seatmaestro staff will have access to this information.

You will receive payment within 5 business days after Seatmaestro staff considers your Flash Documents to be valid. This should not take longer than 2 weeks after you have submitted your files.

In case Seatmaestro staff consider that seat maps need changes, corrections or additions, you will be informed via email. In this case, payment will be postponed until the seat maps are amended and considered valid.

Please, note that in order to receive cash payments, participants need to fully complete all the fields in their profiles (except the "avatar" and the fields under "Contact options").

Q: Can this contest be cancelled? [ top ]

A: It is very unlikely that this promotion will be cancelled. However, Seatmaestro reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any point in time.
