Airline Air Canada released its traffic figures. According to its figures, Air Canada has suffered a decline in load factor to 81.9% against 82.4% in April 2010. But its traffic figures show an increase in network traffic by 11.6% compared to last year compared to a capacity increase of 12.2% across the network. Note that these figures were calculated on the load factor of Canada, cross-Atlantic Provinces, and transpacific routes from Latin America among others. Qatar Airways will launch 2 more flights weekly from Doha to Frankfurt, Germany. The additional Qatar Airways flights Frankfurt from Doha will be operated on Sundays and Tuesdays making its double daily flights from 12 weekly flights to 14 weekly flights. On Sundays Qatar Airways flights QR023 will depart from Doha at 15hr50 and return flights QR024 will depart from Frankfurt at 23hr00. On Tuesdays Qatar Airways flights QR025 from Doha will depart at 8hr15 and return flights QR026 will depart from Frankfurt at 15hr30. Lufthansa has introduced the first flight of its Airbus A380. The Lufthansa A380 started its service in serving the San Francisco flight from Frankfurt. The flight will be operated daily San Francisco flights from Frankfurt at 9:55 am, arriving in San Francisco at 11:55. The return flight from San Francisco will be made at 14:20 to arrive in Frankfurt at 10:05. Note that Lufthansa now has seven A380s which provides daily service to their 5 destinations like Johannesburg, New York, Beijing, Tokyo and San Francisco now, about 70 flights per week.
