These aircraft are among the youngest in the entire fleet, with an average age of just 2¾ years. A330-223's twin Pratt & Whitney PW4168A engines represent state-of-the-art technology. Compared to its predecessor, the Airbus A310, the A330 burns one-third less fuel in terms of maximum transportable payload. Despite its greater weight, it is also considerably quieter than the A310, both inside and outside the cabin.

Oh, the horrors of travelling out of Dubai on an Islamic long weekend! The flight was absolutely chock-ablock. Vain attempts to upgrade with points came to naught (both before the flight and at the airport), although the ground agent took pity on me and gave me an invitation to the LH lounge in Dubai airport. Travellers should definitely be wary of this seat. Although it's near the toilet, which may be handy from some, every time I managed to doze off for a couple of minutes, I was inevitably bumped either by a service cart or a passenger on his/her way to the loo.

Hmm, where do I begin??? If your flying with SWISS do your homework and check to make sure that the flight you are taking in Business is a Business seat. What me and my famliy ended up with was nothing short of sitting on crates moulded together with some cheap sponge on top. To top it off with avoid the lsat row of business class as you get babies wailling in the economy row right behind you and to make matters worse passengers from the economy section would just wander into the business section. On two occassion during the flight I had got to answer the call of nature and to come back to my seat to find some chap just s few rows behind me had decided that he would like to have my seat- Even though i had pointed out to him that the seat he was now sitting in was paid for by me. The staff just stood there for ten minutes doing nothing till I resigned to saying that I will take legal for recovery of my money if I did not get to sit again. I woudl def not consider flying Swiss in this type of air craft
