Delta has great seats in the BusinessElite cabin of its 757-200 Transatlantic 5600 series planes. This usually operates between JFK and Salt Lake City and on short international flights. I've ridden the plane many times on the JFK-SLC route but never international. Most recently I took the flight on October 14, 2009. It's perfect type of seat for 5 or 6 hour flights. Longer than that, I would want lie-flat seats. The BusinessElite seats offer 160 degrees of recline, and are very large, leather and extremely comfortable. They come with a personal TV set, and a 3 pronged power outlet for laptops. Makes flying across the country very comfortable - especially if you are tired and want to somewhat stretch out. Also, because there's a very large distance between you and the seat in front of you, it's easier to get in and out of the window seat and scoot pass the person sitting next to you on the aisle.

This was a wonderful flight, There was only one problem though. WE were delayed for hours because of a broken defogger at Lihue. We still got on the plane and went to HNL to get the part fixed. Then we left for LAX very late through the night. This plane is a former TWA aircraft, and has state of the art Business Elite seats and personal TVs at every seat. The cabin looks brand new, as if it just came out of the hangar for the first time. The 757 ER was built between 1996 and 2001. This plane is mostly seen at LAX, SFO, JFK, and many other international airports such as Europe.

For a 757 on an international flight, Delta's are about the best that are out there. Although UA's PS service is exquisite, they do not provide international service with that aircraft. The seats were very comfortable with quite adequite width and pitch. Although the recline was a little sketchy, the last row I have been told offers limited recline. Even though the galley and lavatory are directly behind, the noise and associated traffic is little because they are used mostly by economy class. Also, the view is quite nice becuase there is nothing obstructing it.
