It was an uncomfortable 2.5 hr flight. This seat is an upgraded seat (you pay extra for) because it is an aisle seat that is closer to Main Cabin Extra. There was a metal bar that extended from the seat in front of me to the ground. This prevented me from being able to place my feet in a normal resting position on the ground while seated. I had to remove my small purse from under the seat in front of me in order to place my feet in a normal position. It was either that or tilt my foot awkwardly or rest it on my purse. I've never experienced that on a flight before and found it unacceptable. It seemed that most aisle seats were like this and IMO American should not charge extra for these seats. It bothered me that I paid extra and I do not recommend doing so. One is better off in a middle seat. The seat padding felt thin, hard and was uncomfortable for me. I'm 5'6", 135 lbs, and had about 1.5 inches of spare legroom. Even though I had some spare legroom I feel this was one of the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in. I do not recommend this seat and certainly don't pay extra for it.

The seats were too narrow and the legroom so tight that I could not sit with my legs forward - they had to be turned either to the right or left. (I'm 5'10".) My wife, who is 5'3", sat in the middle seat (E), and her knees were against the seat in front of her. They discourage people from getting up or even attempting to stand by their seats because the aisle for the flight attendants' carts is barely wide enough for them to get through.

After a long flight, we both had swelling in our legs for several days after.

The main cabin in this aircraft is a torture chamber if your flight is more than a couple of hours.

After a miserable flight from COS to BUF (AA chg from 737 to A319..not my choice in rows 18 & 25A - so tight thought my knees wpuldn't move. A319 also had mechanical issues. Delayed over 1 hr. Upgraded seats to 8F bulkhead & 10 F to Colo Spgs from DFW. AGAIN..unk mechanical issue 2 hrs late. Bulkhead was ok but 10F perfect. Plenty legroom & tray. Just in both seats 4 hours a bit much. SWA always get a 737. Disabled folks need more room. SWA lets u preboard & choose for free. AA I paid plenty for comfort. Worth it 8 hts total on A319 "Baby Bus".

I am a 5'6 female weighing 138 pounds; I had adequate leg room because I had nothing to put under the seat in front of me; otherwise, there would have been a problem. I slept through the entire flight so cannot comment on the entertainment; by the time I got to Miami from St Louis I was somewhat stiff; I am not sure if it was because of the seat or the air or a combination of both; I had difficulty resting my head against the window wall to sleep; that was very very uncomfortable and I really really wish I had my travel pillow; the seat was a little hard but not bad enough to complain about

In my 30 years of business travel this was the most uncomfortable seat I have experienced. I am 6'2", and could barely fit into the seat. My knees were touching the back of the forward seat, and when they reclined, I had to splay my knees into the next seat area. No ability to lean forwards -- assuming the "crash position" would be physically impossible. Little foot room with wider than normal floor mounts. Beware of regular coach for flights longer than 1 hour.

This is the window seat (left side) on the exit row. I was very happy with this seat. Lots of legroom, the tray table pops out from the seat in front and despite there being no left arm armrest, there is an armrest, so to speak, on the exit door, which was perfectly fine. The seat width was not restricted at all as all the armrests in this row can be pushed up into the seats. I would definitely select this seat again.

We had 2A & 2C. This was much more comfortable that main cabin (w/ extra legroom) flight in same plane several days before. Much more room. Extremely attentive staff. Glad tp have seat in 1st class as plane was delayed after boarding and left almost 2 hours late due to a/c malfunction. Plane was hot until fixed. We were offered drinks and snacks repeatedly, unlike the folks in coach who only rec'd the 1 water (or juice) ration & no snack once flight started.

Our flight AA2680 out of Pensacola was 6/30/2021. A319 EOW aircraft was great, had IFE, very padded, thick and comfortable seats. the window view was great. The A319 EOW had not been converted to the Oasis project (which is a joke)and that was a big PLUS. cabin appeared new and very clean, the flight crew were very professional and courteous. we were surprised as other reviews of American A319 were not so good. I would definitely fly this exact aircraft A319 EOW again!

The flight was a short one hour long. Being 6ft 7 inches tall, I was concerned about leg room. I was pleasantly surprised with how much space there was. The only downfall is that the bulkhead goes all the way down to the ground. Fortunately, being in the aisle seat allows you to stretch your legs into first class. The middle and window seats would have been uncomfortable for tall individuals.

The pitch in the Main Cabin is 30", which is below the standard seat pitch. Seat width is 17.7 inches, which is above the standard seat width. Recline is 4", which is about standard. Entertainment was excellent. Service and food was good also.
