In my naivety, I wondered why I could not get on the SQ flight from BKK to SIN that left ten minutes earlier than this TG flight. Normally I love travelling TG but I've stricken their rickety A300s off my list. Yes, it's a short flight, but there is no entertainment to speak of. The seat pitch is the equivalent of a US domestic carrier's "first class", i.e., a lamentable 38-40 inches. The tray table doesn't seem to pull out fully, so I ate my food -- which was Thai's usual dependable quality -- hunched over like a small child trying not to drip on his best clothes. Next time I'll book early and take SQ's 777 service.
