1. What about infant amenities on the aircraft I'll be flying?
In the international flights accomplished in Boeing 747 or Airbus 340 aircrafts, you may request a carrycot for your baby at the moment you are making the booking (an option subject to availability). This must be requested with a minimum of 24 hours in advance,
Bookings of carrycots are accepted for babies of six (6) months at most and with a weight which do not exceeds seven (7) kilograms. The carrycot will not be delivered at the check-in at the airport, but once you are on board of the aircraft.
With respect to the baby meal, a special menu will be prepared, under his/her parents instructions, which will have to be expressed at the moment of making the booking. To heat the baby bottle up or fill it with fresh milk, please ask for the assistance of any air hostess or member of cabin crew.
2. Do I really need to reserve a seat for my baby when flying with Aerolineas Argentinas?
You don't have to reserve a seat for your baby, but you'll have to pay for lap babies on regional/international flights.
Only one Infant can travel with each adult passenger, and the trip is not advisable for newborn babies up to 7 (seven) days of life.
For safety reasons, infants can't be transported by using a mobile car baby-seat, provided by the passenger. The check-in system will automatically assign for an adult traveling with an infant a seat with a double oxygen mask.
3. Should I pay for my infant to travel domestically?
No, domestic travels are free for infants, but without the right to occupy a seat.
4. Should I pay for my infant to travel internationally?
Yes, you'll have to pay 10% of the fare that applies to adults plus taxes and surcharges (without the right to occupy a seat).
